When the August through December Mini catalog by Stampin' Up was released, the Peaceful Cabin Suite was the first that I fell in love with.  It grabbed my heart. I squealed with delight when I saw it. I knew I had to have it.  And while I have been playing with it, alas, I'm no where near done. There's plenty more coming. The Specialty Designer Series paper, dies and stamps are simply exquisite!  

This suite reminds me of being in a cozy cabin tucked in the woods with the snow gently falling, moonlight dancing upon the glistening snow - revealing animal prints trailing off towards the woods. Light plumes of smoke billowing from the chimney, escaping the fire in the fireplace below. Warm furry pajamas, a good book and a cup of hot cocoa,  Can we go now? Of course we can. Let me take you there.

Some of the Designer Series Paper has silver foil accents, though it's difficult to see in the photos.  And the greys can be accentuated with most any other color, so there is so much room for creative expression.

Sweet Treats Cards

How cute are these simple to recreate cards?

I made these quick cards focusing on the Sweet Treats Designer Series Paper.  Aren't the animals so fun and adorable?  

I wanted small simple sentiments, so I paired the cards with the Banner Year Stamp Set, so as not to compete with the Designer Series Paper.  I wanted to show as much paper as possible.

I love that the main color for this card is non traditional for Christmas - Pool Party.  It also uses my favorite die set, Stitched So Sweetly.

Ideas Blog Hop - Punch It Up

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stampin') blog hop!  Our team is a group of international demonstrators who contribute collectively to a creative tutorial to bring creative inspiration to our customers monthly. I'm so excited to be a new member of this team!

Our theme for this month is called: Punch It Up!  We are focusing on Stampin' Ups! awesome punches! 

This month, I decided to work with the In Symmetry Bundle by Stampin' Up!, which includes the Symmetrical Stems border punch.  I focused on the punched out stems but it can also be used as a border punch by using the negative space after punching.  

I have created a sweet, simple and easy to recreate card that can be used for most any occasion.  The tutorial is equally as simple to follow along with.

I made this lovely little box using the Tidings & Trimmings Bundle and the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.  I paired it with the gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon combo. It matched perfectly and added a very rustic holiday feel.
