Ideas Blog Hop - "We’re cut out to be friends"

Hi Stamping Friends!

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend filled with turkey, pies, and all of the delicious delicacies we indulge in during this time of year!  I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life. And for family and friends - my crafty friends included!

Well, it's time again for some creative fun from the IDEAS Blog Hop crew.  Ideas is a team of  international Stampin' Up Demonstrators who collaborate monthly on a huge tutorial, to bring creative projects that range from simple to complex.  Something for everyone!

The IDEAS tutorials are full of inspiring creations from different designers! You get a ton of different projects and design influences from different creators, in a bundle to recreate on your own!

This month’s IDEAS blog hop theme is "We’re cut out to be friends".

My project this month uses the Magical Meadow stamp set and coordinating dies.  It's a whimsical, wintery stamp set and one of my favorites from the current Stampin' Up Mini catalog, which will be leaving us soon to make room for a new one.

My project is beautiful card that uses one of my favorite Stampin' Up colors, Pretty Peacock.  I use it every chance that I get.

Here's our collage, which is a sneak peak from each designer in this edition of the tutorial bundle.  See it here:

And...here's a peek at my project and the stamp set I used from this month:

I am impressed by the addition of Blueberry Bushel used in
conjunction with the Garden Green and Pretty Peacock. I think it works beautifully!

Win a Card Kit

Win a card kit

I'm having a contest over on my Facebook Business page. I have a card kit that I'd like to give away. It includes enough pre-cut products to make 3 simple to recreate cards (so easy for a beginner). If you'd like to try your hand at cardmaking, this is a perfect opportunity to!
To be in the running to win, simply tell me in the comments below what your favorite holiday (or season) is and why? I'll be choosing a random winner on Sunday, Sept. 17, so you have four days to enter. 😊
By the way, my favorite holiday is Christmas. I love all of the twinkling lights, sitting by the tree at night, shopping for the best gifts for my loves, baking and warm foods, the smells sights and sounds - and most of all, the joy that so many find during the season.

If you would like to comment to enter, visit my Facebook Business page (link below), and comment about your favorite holiday or season.

Thank you for visiting!
Good luck and Butterfly Blessings!

Ideas Blog Hop - September 2022 - Family Celebrations

Hi Stamping Friends!

Annnddddd...guess who's back?  Back with more creations from the IDEAS Blog Hop.  Who is IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stamping), you ask?  We are a team of  international Stampin' Up Demonstrators who collaborate monthly on a huge tutorial, to bring creative projects that range from simple to complex.  Something for everyone!

The IDEAS tutorials are full of inspiring creations from different designers! You get a ton of different projects and design influences from different creators, in a bundle to recreate on your own!

This month’s IDEAS blog hop theme is Family Celebrations. Cards.

My contribution this month uses the Cottage Wreaths stamp set and coordinating dies.  It's very fall/winter friendly, which is a great segue to usher in the holiday season of crafting, as we are now there.

My project is fun gift holder card and matching greeting card.  I was very intentional about using fall colors.  I featured the Wild Wheat, one of the set of 5 In-Colors.  It is just a nice color that reminds me of a hay ride.  I was on the fence when it was first presented, but I really do like it.

Here's our collage, which is a sneak peak from each designer in this edition of the tutorial bundle.  See it here:

And...here's a peek at my project and the stamp set I used from this month:

I used the In Color treat bags to create the gift card holder and the mat for the matching card.

Here's our collage, which is a sneak peak from each designer in this edition of the tutorial bundle.  See it here:

Diamond Pop Out Fun Fold Card

Hello my crafty friends!

Last week during my Facebook, I created this lovely Pop-Out card. It's a popular technique that I have made before.  I had fun making it!

Here it is slightly at an angle so that you are able to see how the inside diamond pops out.

Diamond Pop Out Fun Fold Card

Okay, so this may not be the official name, and I don't really know who created this card first. I have just seen it around quite a bit. I saw it from Jan. B, and then created my own version. It's lovely and I wanted to make it.

I love how it turned out and I love the color palette. Also, there are very few products required to recreate this card.  Here's what I used:

  • Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper #161157
  • Petal Park Builder punch  #160576
  • Adhesive Back Sequin Trio #161206
  • Tuxedo Black Memento Ink #132718
  • Calypso Coral cardstock #122925
  • Basic White cardstock 159276

Hi Stamping Friends!  I hope you are enjoying your summer, and have been finding the opportunity to get lots of stamping projects done.

This month’s IDEAS blog hop theme is called Color Me Happy. It's celebrating color - something that Stampin' Up! does well.

If you haven’t heard of the IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stampin') blog hop, we are a group of creative demonstrators from around the world who collaborate on a huge tutorial each month, exploding with creativity!

I decided to celebrate color this month by using the very colorful
Cheerful Daisies Bundle.

The Designer Series Paper is bursting with color.

Here's our collage, which is a sneak peak from each designer in this edition of the tutorial bundle.  See it here:

Card using Countryside Corners Dies

Countryside Corners Card

I made this card using the Countryside Corners dies. They’re part of the Countryside Inn Suite. I am a fan of layering dies. It makes the work so easy.  Layering different colors and patterns on top of one another is one of my cardmaking go tos.

I opted to pair the dies with the Sentimental Park Stamp set.  The flowers are 2-step stamping which makes coloring the stamps so easy.

Item number: 160561

I also used the Bright and Beautiful 6x6 Designer Series Paper.
It is very colorful and the colors are yummy!

Item number: 161449

I used a Vellum Cardstock die cut under a smaller Designer Series Paper die cut.
It adds a nice touch.

This was the perfect opportunity to use a couple of the new colors Stampin' Up added with this new catalog.

I thought the Lemon Lolly would have to grow on me, but I absolutely adore it with the Lemon Lime Twist. Don't you?  Look closely at the flowers near the sentiment layer.

I made this variation for my Facebook Live last week.  There is something about mostly white cards with pops of color.

I used the Online Exclusive "Basics 3D embossing folders.  I have a thing for circles and dots. Needless to say, I used the dots.

Item number: 161598

The embossing folder comes as a bundle of three, which is super cool!

Item number: 161474

Here's a close up look at the Countryside Inn Suite of products. There is also a stamp set that coordinates with the dies. They are currently out of stock, but they will be restocked.

If you didn't get a chance to see the FB Live, you can see it here:

Thank you so much for watching!

Cheerful Daisies Card

Have you had a chance to check out the new Stampin’ Up! catalog?  One of my favorite bundles from the catalog is the Cheerful Daisies. The retro look and feel of the daisies are quaint and nostalgic,

Here is a simple card I created using this bundle. I also focused on the new color Cooler Clay, and the Boho Blue.

Here’s a look at the entire bundle.  Isn’t it yummy?  A surprise elements within the Designer Series Paper pack is a 12x12 sheet that can be used for pocket scrapbooking or quick and easy cards.  I love it!

IDEAS Blog Hop April 2023 ”Cards that Move"

Hi friends!  Ready for Spring? Me too! I am so ready for warmer weather, outdoor anctivities and gardening.  Although the winter has been mild here on Michigan, it seems to have dragged on. I’m ready for sunshine.

You wanna know what else I’m ready for?  This month’s IDEAS blog hop. I love the theme -  cards that move. So. Much. Fun.

If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know that my style is easy to recreate. Straight lines. Slightly imbalanced symmetry. Can I say imbalanced symmetry? I like things symmetrical and just a bit askew. I also like them not to be too complicated.  I do make really involved cards at times, but not often. My challenge with this blog hop then, was to create a card that moves without compromising my laid back style. I think I did pretty good.

If you haven’t heard of the IDEAS (International Demos Exciting Artistic Stampin') blog hop, we are a group of creative demonstrators from around the world who collaborate on a huge tutorial each month, exploding with creativity! Our April collaboration is all about Cards that Move. So very fun.

I decided on a slide card created with the Taco Fiesta stamp set. It is cute with super fun images.

Here's our collage, which is a sneak peak from each designer in this edition of the tutorial bundle.  See it here:

Here's a peek at my project and the stamp set I used from this month:
